Message from Pastor Vicki – July, 2010

Haven Pastor Vicki Lerdahl

Haven Pastor Vicki Lerdahl, Easter Sunrise Service 2010

For you who are looking at this site for the first time, let me share with you a little about myself. I will celebrate my 55th birthday on Aug. 16. I have a husband, Dick, of 28 years and we are raising our eight-year old grandson Jacob in the town of Cherry, AZ – an hour around the mountain. This is our 11th year there. Previously we raised two girls in the Gilbert area and they are now living in Phoenix. Dick still commutes to Chandler for work, that’s how much he loves living out of the big city. Much of my time is used in traveling as you can imagine. My service in the Haven UMC has given me new insights and understanding of the works of the small town. Jerome people have shared their hearts with me and really made me feel welcome. I am always amazed at how much they do for each other and for visitors from all over the country.

We have begun our fourth year together at Haven. I continue to learn and grow through working with the entire congregation at Haven. Now with this new web page hopefully we can reach others with the invitation to come to Haven and worship with us. We are such a blessed community here in Jerome and pray those who visit us here in the historic building will come and experience the joy we all share for our Lord.

Let me invite you to come as you are and be blessed by God’s grace every Sunday @ 9:00 A.M.. I thank you in the name of Christ for seeking him out through this web site and wait excitedly to meet you in person as you follow his leading.

Peace and Grace to my friends in Christ,

Vicki Lerdahl, pastor
