INVOCATION

Holy God, we praise you for your creative and mighty word. You declare that the earth is good, so we pledge to care for it as your stewards. You proclaim that life is sacred, so we honor your divine image in one another. You announce your presence in our world, so we look for the ways and places in which you are at work. We are grateful for the constancy of your word which anchors us in you. We are thankful that your word remains dynamic, compelling us to change and grow. We celebrate the inspiration and imagination of your word which continues to create and renew life. We invite you to make your word and your Self known to us in this sacred time and place. Amen.
