Like the rain that can’t be stopped from falling, God’s love and blessings keep on pouring. – Author unknown
Some of you may have seen my license plate which says. “IMBLESD”. Some folks have come up with other ideas for what the letters mean, one person thought it meant “imbecile,” but my intention was to say “I am Blessed.” And I am blessed!
My life has been a very good one. I have had my share of the “down side” of life, but I always end up getting the “good stuff” as well.
I was blessed to grow up with parents who not only loved me, but encouraged me and stood by me.
I am blessed with a daughter and a son who make me proud all the time and whom I enjoy as much now as adults as I did when they were growing up, and I am blessed with a step daughter and grandchildren which are one of the joys of my life.
I am blessed with a husband who loves me unconditionally and who supports me in everything I do, or try to do.
I am also blessed with friends who I can call and talk to anytime I want to and who always seem to be glad to hear from me.
Sometimes, however, it is difficult to see the blessings when difficulties and heartache are in the forefront of my life. Sometimes financial worries or worries about relatives or friends or the world’s ills seem to take over my mind and I forget to count my blessings for a while. I hate it when that happens because these, I believe, are the most important times to remember all the blessings that have been showered on me. These are the times to remember that God is in charge and that he is going to be pouring even more blessings on me as time goes by. These are the times when I need to remember that God answers prayers, even if he does it in his own time frame and not mine.
God’s blessings are always there for me, whether I see them or not! My family and friends love me! But, God loves me even more!
I pray that I will never forget that!
