PRAYERS AND OFFERING

CONFESSION

O Great God, we bring ourselves before you, just as we are—broken, sinful, weak. We confess that we are fickle people—saying one thing and doing another. Forgive us, for we have sinned. We say that we love you and yet we do not love our brothers and sisters. But, you are gracious, compassionate and slow to anger. For this we humbly thank you. We know that you are here, ready to hear our prayer of confession and to help us to turn from our sinfulness. Again and again you forgive. Thank you for not treating us as our sins deserve. For your love and forgiveness, we worship you now. Amen.

PARDON

If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Thanks be to God.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE: Joys and Concerns

PASTORAL PRAYER

OFFERTORY PRAYER Our heavenly Father, every good and perfect gift comes from you. We recognize that all we’ve been given is a blessing from our Father, who loves us. As we bring our offerings to you this morning, we do so humbly. We know we wouldn’t have gifts to bring if it weren’t for your blessing and generosity toward us. And so we come to bless and give generously back to you. May our offerings be pleasing to you and come from pure and grateful hearts. And may all that we give be used to further your kingdom. In your holy name. Amen.
