During the Easter season, Haven United Methodist Church of Jerome was very fortunate to receive a generous donation of “Easter Goodies” (baskets, eggs, egg dye, toys) from the local Wal-Mart store in Cottonwood.
One of our church members is from Teec Nos Pos, a town on the Navajo Reservation in the Four Corners area. As we were sorting our treasures we immediately felt the holy spirit within encouraging us to share with others. We were able to create and distribute 30 Easter baskets to many excited and overjoyed Navajo children.
The beautiful smiles and looks of joy on the faces of both the young and old was so rewarding…we were blessed to be able to show God’s love and kindness through this ministry project. We plan to continue this ministry throughout the coming year.
