Sunrise Easter Service

One of the highlights of the Christian year is Easter Sunday. We have celebrated the day beginning with a sunrise service at various locations throughout Jerome. This year, the service was held in the overflow parking lot a short distance past the rear of the Jerome Fire Station via the Perkinsville Road. Overlooking the Verde Valley, Sedona red rocks, and on towards the San Francisco Peaks of Flagstaff, a breathtaking view is provided as the sun rises beyond the distant mountains. Worship service is celebrated by the pastor, climaxing with the release of the doves of peace flying off into the rising sun.

Following the sunrise service, everyone is invited to the church Fellowship Hall for brunch and a relaxing time of great food and fellowship. Traditional worship service begins at 9:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary.

At 10:30, all the youngsters of Jerome are invited to the Easter Egg Hunt in the yard of Joan Evans. This is always an exciting event for everyone.
